Dear parents and friends of 3 Blue,
Our focus for mathematics this week has been to develop proficiency with multiplication facts. We have been revising our 2's, 5's and 10 multiplication facts using skip counting. Further we have introduced skip counting by 3's and have been using this new skill in order to work out 3 times tables multiplication facts.
We have been enjoying this unit exploring different ways of exploring multiplication facts (see below).
It would be great to revise this with your children at home over the course of the year. Mulitiplication is an important concept in day to day life.
Feel free to use the following sheet (which the students are familiar with) by inserting your own multiplication facts. Focus on developing proficiency with the 2, 3, 5 and 10 times tables, only extending to others once this is achieved. The first row is an example of what is expected.
